Two weeks ago, we had a weekend without much going on, which has been pretty rare this summer. So we decided to take advantage by grilling some great steaks and opening the bottle of wine that Nathan had given me for my birthday. It's too hot for the chef's jacket but don't worry....I will get a picture once temperatures get better in the fall. :)
Last weekend, we went to MP to attend the wedding reception for my friend Lockie's little sister Melissa, who got married in Hawaii the weekend before. The invitation said to dress "casual and cool" and man am I glad they went that route....it was soooo hot! The reception was at Lockie and Melissa's parents' house and they have such a pretty yard---pool, large deck and lots of trees all on a few acres. The band they hired was a lot of fun and I enjoyed being able to visit with everyone there. I didn't do too much dancing because I was so hot...I felt like I couldn't drink enough water! Melissa looked as happy as I have ever seen her and I got to meet her husband for the first time. All in all, it was a great reception and it was nice to be home in MP.
