THANKSGIVING AT THE LAKE
On Wednesday morning, Nathan, my sister Megan and I made the drive to Lake Conroe to spend the Thanksgiving holidays with my parents, grandmother, aunt, uncle and cousins. I did not even get my camera out of my purse but fortunately my aunt took a few pics that I am able to share on the blog. We ate a lot of delicious food....my mom's dressing is my absolute favorite and has long been on my list of foods I would request as my last meal. We sat around by the firepit, watched football, played Catchphrase (for the record, my team won both times...I'm just sayin'), and of course, no get together with the cousins would be complete without a game of spades (and Brittny and I reclaimed our championship title). My aunt, uncle and cousins all went to A&M so watching the game is never very fun...I have to really hold back on my cheering and frustrations since I would get annoyed if they didn't do the same. It was a stressful one to watch and Nathan and I didn't have high expectations considering the Longhorns are not very good this year.....but thankfully, we came out with a win! We didn't gloat too much. :) I'm sad that the longtime rivalry is coming to an end though....I wish we could have kept up the tradition. Hopefully, they will find a way to play each other in non-conference games.
We had a great time and probably gained a good five pounds during our three day stay. We came back on Saturday to beat the traffic and as sad as it is to say considering we didn't do much while we were gone, we were all exhausted....must have been all of the food.

We will all see each other again in Houston in March when my cousin Hayley gets married to her longtime boyfriend Trey. It's funny that we will be adding another "Trey" to our family. :)
