MOUNT PLEASANT IN JANUARY
I hadn't been home to Mt. Pleasant since the end of October and Nathan hadn't been there since Cancer Crusade in September so we decided to take advantage of having a free weekend to go. With Nathan's crazy busy schedule with school, we wanted to go before he gets too far into what is hopefully his last semester. My sister decided to go as well so we had a full family weekend. We just relaxed and enjoyed not doing much of anything. Friday night, my mom made stuffed manicotti which was delicious and we all sat in the outdoor kitchen where we built a fire and watched tv. Saturday for lunch we went to my favorite place to eat in MP - Two Senoritas. My parents, sister and I all went to the movies in the afternoon to see "Red Tails" while Nathan stayed back at the house to study. I thought the movie was okay but nothing spectacular. Saturday night, my grandmother Nan came over and we grilled steaks. Nathan is such a good cook and he is a master at the grill.....my mom said she is going to start grilling steaks the way he does. :) We all just hung out watching tv and talking....it was nice to not have any plans. Sunday morning, we had a big breakfast of biscuits, gravy, bacon, eggs, and mini pigs-in-the-blanket and after eating, Nathan and I packed up the truck and headed back home. Unfortunately for him, as I type this, he is upstairs studying. I know he can't wait for school to be done in May!
